Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old female.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Rosa Borquez Machado.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Thermal Injuries and Inhalation of Products of Combustion

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at a hospital.

The decedent was killed by her 47-year-old boyfriend Adrian Saavedra who also ended up killing himself and her 13-year-old son Atiel. There were three fatalities in this fire in Montebello.

Apparently, Borquez Machado had met Saavedra on TikTok. They had been together only about eight months.
