(L.A.) Amtrojosimar Barrios, 35, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred in the parking lot of a strip mall.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Amtrojosimar Barrios. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Garcia.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.
The decedent had a serious criminal history with arrests for grand theft auto, robbery, and threats of violence. He spent time inside North Kern State Prison.

Amtrojosimar, “Chato” Barrios, age 35, was killed May 3 and two others were hospitalized after a shooting in the Florence area early Sunday morning,
The incident was reported around 1:57 a.m. in the 1600 block of Firestone Boulevard in unincorporated Los Angeles.
Deputies from Century Station responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a strip mall.
A third victim, a security guard working down the street, was struck by a stray bullet and was not believed to be the intended target.
One victim, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, a 25-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The third victim, a 27-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical condition.
No suspect or vehicle description has been released, and the motive remains under investigation.
