(L.A.) Joscar Luna, 17, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 17-year-old Latino male who passed away in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the teen as Joscar Luna.

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

RIP JOSCAR ALEJANDRO LUNA (March 17, 2009 – April 27, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

On May 6, the Department of Medical Examiner changed its initial statement that this was a suicide. The investigator in charge of this case is Lianna Darabedyan, the forensic pathologist Dr. Paul Gliniecki.
