(L.A.) Alexis Ayala y Jaramillo, 24, Died at a Fwy On-Ramp

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Latino male that occurred at a freeway on-ramp.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Alexis Ayala Jaramillo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made early Sunday morning.

The decedent was apparently walking in the area of the Interstate 10 West / Crenshaw Boulevard on-ramp when he was hit by a black Jeep Liberty at around 1:10 a.m.

California Highway Patrol was informed and less than five minutes later, LAFD found a body face down on the on-ramp.

This was at the westbound 10 freeway. The Crenshaw on-ramp was shut down for two hours.
