(L.A.) Richard Owens, 45, Died on the Foothill Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on Interstate 210 East / Michillinda Avenue in East Pasadena.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Richard Owens.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday night.

California Highway Patrol first heard about a vehicle possibly hitting a pedestrian on the freeway at 9:31 p.m.. The driver called it in herself.

Apparently, the decedent just darted across the lanes in front of her.

“Eastbound SR-210 pedestrian strike near Sierra Madre/Madre Street.”
