(L.A.) Ryan Johnson, 40, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old White/Caucasian male who passed away at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Ryan Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Mitragynine, Oxycodone, Diazepam, and Lorazepam

RIP RYAN DAVID JOHNSON (March 20, 1985 – February 18, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.

Mitragynine is the most abundant active alkaloid in the Southeast Asian plant Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom.
