(L.A.) Hector Garcia Rojas, 45, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Hector Garcia Rojas.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Gunshot Wound of Neck

Cause of Death B: Cervical Spinal Cord Injury (C4)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday evening.

The decedent was in a group of three who were shot at in East L.A. at around 5:45 p.m. They were all taken to the hosptial. He was the only one gravely injured.

LASD said the shooting happened in the 4000 block of San Carlos Street, by East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue.
