(L.A.) Olga Campa Ochoa, 80, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 80-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Olga Campa Ochoa.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute on Chronic Subdural Hematoma with Midline Shift and Extensive Traumatic Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Fall From Stairs

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Cirrhosis (Unknown Etiology), Recent Peripheral Arterial Disease Surgery Versus Deep Vein Thrombosis (on Aspirin and Clopidogrel)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The death was caused by a fall and resulting brain hemorrhage. The leg condition is separate, but important because it led to medications that may have worsened the bleeding after the head injury.
