(L.A.) Tyson Story, 20, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Tyson Story.

Height: 5 feet 8 inches / Weight: 150 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP TYSON STORY (March 7, 2005 – January 24, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday afternoon.

LAPD said the shooting happened on Colden Avenue near Baring Cross Street in South L.A. at around 3:20 p.m.

In September, the decedent was arrested by LAPD’s Rampart Division in the 90026 at 2121 West Court Street for carrying a concealed firearm. He was also arrested in July 2024 for robbery and carjacking.
