The coroner’s office identified the man as Jubilant Sykes. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Stab Wounds

RIP JUBILANT ROBERTO SYKES (September 17, 1954 – December 8, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The decedent was a singer, a highly regarded baritone who performed with orchestras and at major venues worldwide, including the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center.

He was stabbed to death by his 31-year-old son. Micah Curtis Sykes has been arrested with bail set at 2 million dollars.
