The coroner’s office identified the man as Kauwela Salley.

Cause of Death: Perforating Gunshot Wound of the Chest

The decedent was from Hawaii.

Damon Cavanot Reynolds, 45, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on December 9 at Ballington Plaza SRO Apartments, transitional housing on Skid Row in downtown L.A.
