Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jack Gonzales.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-February, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
