(L.A.) Kinna Robin, 44, Died on the 405 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Black female that occurred on the 405 Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Kinna Robin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Fatality Interstate 405 South / La Tijera Blvd

The decedent was a pedestrian hit by a vehicle that looked like a white Kia Sol.

California Highway Patrol first heard about it at around 11:16 p.m.

All four southbound lanes on I-405 were closed for the investigation, and a one-hour SigAlert was issued at around 11:39 p.m.

Then at 12:43 a.m, an additional collision happened. A silver Chevy Volt was rear-ended by another vehicle while merging into the HOV lane — likely a secondary crash connected to traffic backup. There were no injuries in this later incident.
