Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Horbelin Echeverria.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Effects of Anaphylactic Reaction

Cause of Death B: Insect Bites

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus

RIP HORBELIN ECHEVERRIA (January 18, 1955 – April 8, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The decedent was attacked by a swarm of bees while he was out walking in Compton on Sunday. He was taken to the hospital where he would pass away.
