(L.A.) Isaiah Harrison, 8, Died in Lynwood

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an eight-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the boy as Isaiah Harrison.

Cause of Death A: Staphylococcus aureus Bacteremia

Cause of Death B: Acute Pneumonia

Other Significant Condition: Restraint and Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday, October 29.

The decedent was found dead inside a cooler packed with ice.

LASD deputies responded at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment in the 3100 block of Euclid Avenue to conduct a welfare check requested by an unidentified resident who had gone to the sheriff’s station.

The child’s mother, 25-year-old Destiny Harrison; father, Daniel Monzon, also 25; and grandmother, Ana Zarceno-Carcamo, 45, are all scheduled to be arraigned in Compton on November 20. They are facing charges of murder and torture.

According to the criminal complaint, the boy was abused by the three defendants over a long period of time and died from his injuries on October 24.
