(L.A.) Mateo Diego Pablo, 33, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mateo Diego Pablo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Ethanol (Alcohol) Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Complications of Chronic Alcohol Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-December, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
