Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at around 6:25 a.m.
The decedent was crossing Pacific Coast Highway when he was fatally hit by an eastbound 2023 Ford F-150 driven by a 40-year-old Wilmington man, who remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
