(L.A.) Gabrielle Hanela, 38, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Gabrielle Hanela.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Hydromorphone and Diphenhydramine

Other Significant Condition: Pulmonary Hypertension

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
