(L.A.) John Stephens, 57, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as John Stephens.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP JOHN STEPHENS (1968/1969 – September 24, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-December, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
