(L.A.) Maeve Blakeley-Johnson, 1, Died in View Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a one-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in the unincorporated View Park community.

The coroner’s office identified the child as Maeve Blakeley-Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Hyperthermia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

LASD deputies from the Marina del Rey Station responded at around 3:10 p.m. to the 300 block of Chanson Drive, north of Slauson Avenue and east of Crenshaw Boulevard, after receiving a call about a child not breathing.

As of Thursday, the decedent’s 40-year-old father is in jail with bail set at two million dollars. Edwin Johnson is accused of leaving his daughter inside a hot car.
