(L.A.) Mathew Marino, 30, Died in an Abandoned Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in an abandoned lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mathew Marino. Born in Santa Barbara County.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP MATHEW WILLIAM MARINO (April 29, 1995 – September 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
