Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Anastashia Morales.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent was fatally shot aboard a Metro bus in the Westchester area of Los Angeles while trying to break up an argument between her boyfriend and another man.

LAPD said the shooting happened at around 10:50 p.m. at Manchester and Belford avenues.
