The coroner’s office identified the woman as Arlene Cruz. Born in Riverside County .

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP ARLENE JOANTOINETTE CRUZ (November 29, 1993 – August 20, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
