Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Latino male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Frank Zavala.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Abdomen

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday night.

LASD deputies from Lakewood Station were called at around 9:16 p.m. to the 14000 block of Bellflower Boulevard. They found the victim near T. Mayne Thompson Park, between Foster Road and Rosecrans Avenue.
