(L.A.) Sung Yang, 73, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 73-year-old Asian female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Sung Yang.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.
The decedent was a widow who had been letting a 79-year-old man live at her apartment. They had a verbal argument, which devolved into assault.
LAPD said the shooting happened at around 10:30 p.m. by an apartment building in the area of Pico Boulevard and Saint Andrews Place just south of Koreatown proper.
