Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Wesley Brown of Compton.

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.
The decedent was shot in the unincorporated Willowbrook area of L.A. County at around 12:20 p.m.
LASD said the shooting happened in the 100 block of West El Segundo Boulevard, near Main Street. The zip code of the area is 90061. It’s northwest of Compton.
In 2014, the decedent’s friend Darrell Echols died from a gunshot in Compton.
