(L.A.) Armando Apatiga, 29, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Armando Apatiga.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Ethanol Toxicity

RIP ARMANDO APATIGA SOTO (October 16, 1995 – August 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
