(L.A.) Boris Veliz, 49, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Boris Veliz. Born in L.A. County.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent had a rap sheet that included arrests for DUI, assault, robbery, hit and run, and drug offenses.
