Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Arthur Gutierrez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

RIP ARTHUR MATTHEW GUTIERREZ (October 21, 1978 – May 23, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

According to his younger sister, the decedent was attacked two blocks from the Midnight Mission on Skid Row in downtown L.A. “He was recovering from alcohol… he was sovereign for 8 1/2 months.”
