Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Asian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gurpreet Singh.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was allegedly armed with a a machete outside of Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, July 12, when he was shot by LAPD. It happened at around 9:20 a.m. near Figueroa Street and Olympic Boulevard.
