(L.A.) Hector Diaz, 43, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Hector Diaz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Pneumonia

RIP HECTOR DIAZ (1981 / 1982 – July 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
