(L.A.) Shaun Jones, 55, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Shaun Jones.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Mixed Drug Toxicity (Fentanyl and Methamphetamine)

Other Significant Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Methamphetamine Use (By History)

RIP SHAUN JONES (1970 – July 9, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
