(L.A.) Wesley Hammers, 40, Died in Van Nuys

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a wash.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Wesley Hammers.

Height: 5 feet 7 inches / Weight: 140 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Sharp-Force and Chop Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

LAPD’s West Valley patrol responded at 11:13 a.m. to a radio call about an assault in progress in the 16700 block of Stagg Street in Van Nuys. They found the victim deceased in the wash.

“Wash” here refers to a riverbed that’s usually dried out or has very little water.
