(L.A.) DeQuinte Carter, 45, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Dequinte Carter.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Sepsis, Clinical

RIP DEQUINTE ANTONIO CARTER (February 27, 1980 – May 30, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
