Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old male of “Hispanic/Latin American” ethnicity that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steven Reyes.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Blunt Head Trauma

Highland Park liquor store clerk killed while attempting to stop shoplifters from stealing a case of beer.

The deceased was actually of Filipino descent. He was from Batangas Province in the Philippines.
