(L.A.) Karen Barreras, 74, Died in Alhambra

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 74-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Karen Barreras.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Stab Wound of Neck

Other Significant Condition: Strangulation

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

The decedent was killed by her son Robert Antony Barreras, 42 years of age. She was visiting his home at the time. He has been arrested and is currently being held on $2 million bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility.
