(L.A.) Byron Fuentes, 48, Died at a Freeway On-Ramp

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred at a freeway on-ramp.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Byron Fuentes.

Height: 6 feet 4 inches / Weight: 120 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Head Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday. This is the 110 Freeway at 8th Street.

The decedent was not born in California. He seems to have been from Texas. Black hair. Green eyes.

On March 31, 2026, police arrested Kenneth Gibson for the random stabbing of a woman in downtown L.A. After he was booked, investigators linked Gibson to an outstanding warrant for the murder of Byron Fuentes.
