Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Omar Beltran.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Ethanol- and Hepatitis C Virus-Related Liver Cirrhosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 1:12 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 13. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
