(L.A.) Amanda Schendel, 40, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Amanda Schendel.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Combined Intoxication by Oxycodone, Fluoxetine, and Ethanol

Other Significant Conditions: History of Alcohol and Opioid Abuse, Recent Traumatic Brain Injury (Concussion), Chronic Psychiatric Illness, and Status Post Gastric Bypass Surgery

RIP AMANDA SCHENDEL (December 11, 1984 – May 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 5:10 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
