Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Devonte Jones.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:40 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injured by a 2013 Jeep going south on Crenshaw Boulevard near 235th Street at around :25 a.m.
