This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Methamphetamine induces potent vasoconstriction, including acute coronary artery vasospasm, which can lead to myocardial ischemia and infarction.

The rupture here occurred after a heart attack (when blood flow to part of the heart is blocked). It happens when the damaged heart muscle tears, creating a hole in the heart’s wall, muscle, or valves. This rupture allows blood to leak into the surrounding tissues, leading to sudden pressure buildup around the heart, severe heart failure, or shock. It typically develops three to five days after a heart attack and requires emergency surgery to repair the tear, as it is often fatal without immediate treatment.
