(L.A.) Alvina Ricketts, 65, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Alvina Ricketts.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine and Phencyclidine Use

RIP ALVINA RICKETTS (October 6, 1959 – March 26, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:03 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
