Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Amber Cook.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Cocaine Intoxication

RIP AMBER COOK (July 30, 1979 – March 9, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:32 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
