Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Wecksler.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP DAVID WECKSLER (January 14, 1976 – March 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:48 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
