RIP ROBERT SHRIER (December 2, 1963 – March 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:40 p.m.

The decedent was allegedly choking his 80-year-old mother when his brother arrived and felt compelled to shoot.

LAPD said the 57-year-old shooter was taken into custody but will most likely be released because the shooting was not a criminal homicide but a “justifiable” homicide under the assumption that the action saved their mother’s life.

Incident location was the 400 block of North Alfred Street in the affluent Beverly Grove neighborhood near Cedars-Sinai.

* Tracy Binder Shrier and her husband Mitch are known for the Trashy Lingerie store, which they opened on North La Cienega Boulevard in 1973. It’s the pink-themed store on the corner of La Cienega and Oakwood, just up the street from the Beverly Center. Trashy is now being managed by their son Randy.

Their son Robert, the deceased, had been arrested in 2018 for assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce grave bodily injury, 245(A)(1).

The house in the video is at 429 North Alfred Street. It is about 550 feet or a three-minute walk from the Trashy Lingerie store.
