(L.A.) Jesus Salazar Melchor, 42, Died at a Job Site

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred at a job site.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Jesus Salazar Melchor.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

The decedent was a non-union worker.
OSHA’s summary of the incident:
At 1:00 p.m., Employee #1 was tasked with loading vehicles into another container.
While attaching metal wires to secure the vehicle wheels inside the container, one of the wires snapped, causing a vehicle to fall and strike Employee #1.
Employee #1 was fatally injured.
