(L.A.) Jesse Aponte, 40, Died at an Underpass

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Latino male that occurred at an underpass.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jesse Aponte.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Carfentanil, and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP JESSE APONTE (August 31, 1984 – February 9, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:50 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
