(L.A.) Vanessa Bender, 66, Died From a Polydrug OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Black female that occurred at a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Vanessa Bender.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Drug Toxicity

RIP VANESSA BENDER (October 19, 1958 – February 8, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 10:20 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
