(L.A.) Ricky Carrell, 69, Died From Polydrug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Black male that occurred in a garage.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ricky Carrell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine, Acetyl Fentanyl, Fentanyl, Phencyclidine Toxicity

RIP RICKY CARRELL (December 18, 1955 – January 22, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:16 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 5, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
