(L.A.) Leslie Charleson, 79, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 79-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Leslie Charleson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Intracranial Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Traumatic Blunt-Force Head Traumatic Injury

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Asthma, Arthritis, Atrial Fibrillation, and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

RIP LESLIE ANN CHARLESON (February 22, 1945 – January 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:22 a.m.

The decedent was the actress best known as Monica Quartermaine on the soap opera General Hospital, a role she began playing in 1977, making her the cast member who was on the show the longest. She was a four-time Daytime Emmy nominee.

General Hospital‘s executive producer Frank Valentini announced Charleson’s death on the show’s official Instagram page on Sunday, January 12.
